Whether I am presenting content in a classroom, writing for publication, or employing my editorial skills to improve the writing of others, my goal is always the same: to convey complex technical material clearly and concisely.

In seminars or through one-on-one coaching, I help people improve their writing skills and get the work of their businesses done more efficiently and accurately. People say that I make the potentially dull subject of grammar and writing interesting, and most important of all, useful to them. They can take the skills I teach and immediately apply them to their own work.

When I write and when I edit, I employ these key principles that I teach:
  • Anticipate the needs of the audience so that you can deliver messages that matter.
  • Think clearly so that you can write clearly.
  • Realize that what you say and how you say it are equally important.
By adopting the perspective of the student, the reader, the writer, I can deliver training that works, documents that communicate, and criticism that helps.
